Creek Labs was born beside a real Iowa creek, from a mother, a family, and a lifelong technologist searching for calmer, clearer ways to navigate the world.
Creek Labs began with our founder, Desirèe — a woman with a
20-year background in technology, networking, domains, and IoT systems.
For two decades, she worked on the technical foundations that keep the modern
world connected. But at home, even with all that knowledge, she kept running
into one frustrating reality:
Traditional home hubs weren’t built for real families.
They didn't respond appropriately and most give up. It was a rigid experience that was easily confused and built around the company’s idea of productivity — not a parent’s lived reality. Managing schedules, reminders, to-dos, and grocery lists felt scattered. Siri wasn’t helpful. The apps weren’t connected. Nothing felt calm.
As a mom of kids — including one with allergies — Desirèe was always planning, adjusting, preparing. Air quality mattered. Routines mattered. And her family needed a better way to move through the day without overwhelm.
That’s when the vision for Creek Home began: a calm, intelligent hub that could help her manage the household without adding stress or noise.
Meanwhile, outside her home, nature played a different role entirely. Living beside a creek brought a type of grounding that screens and apps couldn’t. Watching water move, wildlife pass, or the weather shift created a rare stillness — one she wanted to capture and share.
That spark became Creek Cam — a simple passion project at first, streaming the creek behind her home so her family (and eventually friends) could enjoy moments of calm throughout the day.
The final piece came from necessity. Her son and partner struggled with allergies, and she wanted a way to predict symptoms, prevent flare-ups, and understand triggers instead of reacting late.
That’s where Creek Veil was born — a device that senses air, notices patterns, and quietly shields those who need it most. Personalized, proactive, and beautifully wearable.
Today, Creek Labs continues to grow with a simple mission:
